Brow Peak (Arrowtown)

Description
THIS DAY CAN ONLY BE RUN IN COMBINATION WITH THE PREVIOUS DAY. IT CANNOT BE RUN AS A SINGLE DAY!
Leaving Roses Hut we head straight into a big climb and big tussock country. After dropping into the Arrow River, following the path of the Te Araroa Trail, we cross the river many times en route to the fascinating historic gold mining centre of Macetown. Another big climb takes us to Big Hill Saddle and we then leave the formed trail to head west across the open tops to knock off Brow Peak. Our reward, after finding our way back to the Saddle is an hour or so of some of the sweetest downhill single track running on the planet and gelatos in Arrowtown.
Important Notes:
Support runners need to be self-sufficient in regards to transport to back from the finish in Arrowtown. While we MAY be able to offer some assistance this CANNOT be guaranteed.
