The Journey
Description
See Kohukohunui on NZ topo maps
A south-north traverse across the Hunua Ranges, pioneered by the intrepid Steve Neary.
Kohukohunui is the highest point in the Auckland region and so it's only fitting that we take it in. The route includes a bit of forestry road but for the most part is single track in the bush, frequently quite technical on account of lots of roots, and potentially very muddy in wet weather.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Support runners need to be self-sufficient in regards to transport to the start and back from the finish. While we MAY be able to offer some assistance this CANNOT be guaranteed.
