The Journey
Day 16 - Sunday 22nd February 2015
Mt. Pisa (Cromwell)
This day is Sponsored by:
Description
This is a north - south traverse along the wonderful Pisa Range, incorporating the summit of Mt. Pisa itself. Starting from the Snow Farm (yeah, we get to drive up that huge hill, not run!) we head via Kirtle Burn to the summit. From there it's a long run across the open tops, dropping down over Mt. Michael to finish at the mouth of the Kawarau Gorge, just out of Cromwell.
Harsh but beautiful with views to die for in every direction, especially looking deep into Aspiring National Park, where the Challenge heads on the following day.
Important Notes
Support runners need to be self-sufficient in regards to transport to the start and back from the finish. While we MAY be able to offer some assistance this CANNOT be guaranteed.
